Hello, and welcome to BYC. I, too, would recommend vitamin supplementation and lowering of the roost. Sadly, the problem may be congenital in origin. Good luck.

I would stop all scraps and scratch immediately. Feeding these things regularly takes away from the bird getting a balanced diet.
The Purina chick starter is formulated as a balanced diet although maybe time to switch them to layer type feed.

If there are eating more than a tablespoon worth of anything besides the starter feed then they're getting too much.


Lake issues can be a sign of not getting a proper diet.
It can also be a sign of Marek's disease.

Can you get some poultry vitamins tomorrow? Specifically these:

I'd give it straight to the beak so you are sure she's getting it.
Putting stuff in water...you can't be sure she'd actually drink enough.

Just be careful and don't force it. Actually you could separate her for a few minutes and offer a tiny bit of the feed and a little bit of tuna fish or scrambled egg mixed with the vitamins and a little water. Just a small amount so that way she eats it all.

I would not wrap anything up. Wrapping things when you aren't sure what the problem is or how to wrap correctly can make things worse.

OK no wrap. And I gave her 1 cc just a little at a time till she got it all .I will probably do the tuna or egg method tonight thank you for all ur help hpw long do i keep giving her this? .. everyone's help just thank you all!
