Brahma or serama cockerel? Help me decide which one

To you, maybe! LOL

Right, I never explained why it makes sense. Apart from the breeds everyone knows about, the common ones, the overwhelming majority of unknown breeds are either from Germany or from Holland. So I'd guess the SOP'S would also be written in one of those two languages

Printed the Standard today! Super excited :D :wee ! Have been reading throught this in the afternoon while looking at some pictures of winning birds from German shows to make up for the miss translations (ahem Google translate) and I'm starting to get it!

Here it is! @WoDia @bantamsrmyfav @Canadian Wind and @ everyone else who's interested, here are the bitties!

Not the best photos because they were taken in the afternoon the afternoon. I can already tell you that serama are really bad at roosting! Anyways, they're awesome. The cockerel was the best of the bunch. When he's standing properly, he's a looker! I'm really excited about this one. Then we've got the most light-colored pullet. She probably has the best type, and she's my most bitty out of them all. The darkest pullet is bringing legs to the bunch, since the standard calls for medium legs. The last pullet brings sweetness and overall vigor. So after this very lengthy post, I am definitely very excited, I feel confident in my selections type wise, and personality wise!

Glad to see you happy with them! I expect lots and lots of updates!

They are so pretty! I’m happy to see your wait is over! You’re right…. he’s a real looker, and I love his coloring! He’s going to be stunning full grown. (My 4 month old rooster has a lot of the same coloring). You’re going to have a lot of fun with them. Mine love to be handled. Sweet teeny chickens. As far as the roosting is concerned, most of mine like to roost low to the floor (on top of the feeder and on top of the grow out cage). The only one that uses the highest roost is my Porcelain d’Anvers rooster (I have my Porcelain d’Anvers, Mille Fleur d’Uccle, and Silkie/Sebrights with the Seramas, and they all do well sharing the same space). Also, currently I have 3 broodies. My Seramas are very good mothers, and you’re going to love watching those tiny little eggs hatch such tiny little chicks! ❤️

Yes, I'm very pleased with them! They don't yet like me quite as much as I do yet, but their personality is already shining through, because even though they were raised very hands-off, they are not scared of me moving around at all. Only if I try to grab them. Of course I'll be doing a bunch of updates! To get back to the roosting saga, they tried to sleep on the ground, in the very front of the cage too! I had to pick them all up, and place them in a safe roost by hand, and then they proceeded to make their own arrangements for another 30 minutes. There's been a cat wondering around the property, and I'm really nervous about it. But if they make it through this night, I'm confident they're making it through any night

Wow so they really are bad roost-ers for life! For birds who hate roosts that much, they sure do know how to fly! Thank you for your kind words! I'm really excited about him. His temperament is fantastic, his posture is amazing. The only thing that isn't really great about him, is how his tail looks from behind. According to the standard it should look like an inverted V, but his is more straight all the way through. Thankfully the pullet has him covered! Those two will compliment eachother perfectly
