Brahma rooster and silkie hens

So I just got a few silkies. They are obviously bantam but my rooster with my hens is a full size Brahma. Will he hurt them if he breeds them?

I would be afraid to put them with him. Even if he's a gentleman with them, I would worry that he could do real damage trying to mate them just because of his size.

Definitely too big plus they might bully the Silkies and eat their feathers off.

Sounds like time to divide into two flocks.

I had raised some Silkies from eggs. Sent them to the big flock when I thought they were old enough. One day I noticed a Silkie roo lagging way behind. He weighed next to nothing. They had all been steady losing weight. I penned them separate again and they filled out again. The other birds were very pushy and the Silkies were suffering.

In your situation I would choose more relaxed, laid back birds to go with the Silkie group. Put Mr BigBoy Brahama with most of your hens in the main coop/run.
