Nice lacing on the female's tail coverts, nice yellow leg color on male and female, nice comb on male. Nice backyard birds, not really SQ. Those are narrow headed birds, the female has a pinched tail, the male has quite a bit of white in his wings. The male is not what I like to call "powerfully built". Again, super for backyard birds/pets.

so the flea & tick oil drops for dogs can be used on chickens?
I know i have used a flea shampoo and the lice were abandoning ship like crazy.
I have too many chickens to individually dust each every other week to kill the next generation.
I need something i can use that wouldn't infect the eggs since i sell the eggs

I want to make my chickens happier but every time i mix poultry dust or DE in all their dusting baths they abandon them to dig new ones. they run when they see white powder.

I don't know about the drops. I use the spray. I'm not sure it would be safe for eating eggs. And I'm sure it is not recommended for chickens at all. I use it with great success on my birds. It was 67.00 dollars including shipping from Twin City for a 17oz bottle.

Sorry to change the subject but Frontline on chickens? Can you please send me more info on this! This seems so smart and safe!

Dark Brahma cockerel of mine, I suppose...

I was told to use the CAT not the dog one. I've used it with no harm to mine. I was told to get it out with a small syringe, and just use one or 2 small drops.

The spray bottle I got from Twin City Poultry Supply says, "dogs, cats, puppies and kittens". I was told to spray a little in a dixie cup, dip a Q-tip in it and apply it under the wings and around the vent. I was also told it could have a temporary affect on fertility if applied too closely to the vent. That is what I was told, I have actually been raising hackle feathers and giving a spray or two making sure it gets to the skin. It does not wash away like the Adams does. I like to make sure my birds are protected before a show. Thats where a lot of birds pick up mites.

Tim you said this stuff could affect the ability to eat the eggs too? I don't know if my hubby would go for that. That's one of the reasons he's letting me get these in the first place. I might just have to live with applying it just before shows. It sounded like your family eats the eggs too, from a what can remember from another thread. This must mean you either only apply it seasonally or it's safe for eating the eggs? What about the birds you plan to sort and cull in the furture? Do you wait to apply this to the birds till after the sorting and the culling, or does it affect the meat?
