I own brahma chickens, and there was a girl asking me if there similar in size to broiler chickens......I have never seen or owned broiler chickens, so I have no idea how big they are. anyone that knows the size diffrents between brahmas and broilers?

I assume what she meant by broilers is the Cornish cross meat birds that are normally the go-to meat chickens for just about anybody. In which case they are vastly different. I have brahmas too and they get their weight by sheer size in height while the Cornish cross gets theirs by pounds of meat on a somewhat squatty frame. I hope this helps.

But as far as the terminology goes, a broiler is chickens of any breed that are specifically being raised for meat. So if you’re raising brahmas for example, you’d set aside a few cockrells to be broiler chickens.
