Hi All,

Ive rescued some baby chickens, not sure how old they are but my guess is about 3-4 weeks old. I need some help identifying what breed they are and any tips on how to determine their gender. The lighter ones are losing their feathers due to terrible living conditions before we got them.

1. Black with white around the eyes, 4 toes and also has feathers down onto their feet.
2. Is light, speckled wings, 5 toes (2 on the back) and feathers down the legs and onto their feet.

We've got 2 of the dark ones and 3 of the light ones. I'm really hoping that they're not boys as I wouldn't be allowed to keep them.

****. Thanks for the help. The others looks identical to the ones in the pics, so I'll assume they're boys as well.
They were on the verge of dying when we got them so I'll just be happy with the fact we gave them a chance and find them new homes in the new year.
I appreciate the help.

Look like they might be mixed, but not seeing that they are cockerels for sure yet... bit early to tell gender...

cockerels are dumped often but, there is a chance some might be girls and dumper couldn't tell the difference.
