I think you should keep Sugar--maybe he will toughen up with the other 2 roo's gone.
Love your sense of humor...ecstatic to hear you & your man are not related!
Yeh... they say about 1 roo to 10 girls. So, your boys might get a bit agitated with one another. Sometimes they work it out if they're raised together, but not necessarily. I'd keep Sugar & let him keep his name. He sounds like a sweetheart!
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! Turns out that NO ONE in my area will butcher and clean a chicken for you. The meat market looked at me like hey dumb girl this is the land of agriculture and you can't kill your own chickens??? I am a city rat living a life of a country mouse and there are some country things this city girl just cannot do. I still love them, even when they are rude I love them. I gave them yogurt this morning and they went wild. I don't know, maybe we can make this work....I want more hens and my coop can accommodate them. It is just sometimes they can get a bit testy with each other.....usually before bed time...kinda weird. They use to all crow and have crow matches....now one of them primarily crows...does this mean that he has made himself known as the dominant one and so the other's don't speak up as much? Anyways, thanks for the hello's....still packed full of Roos!
