Is it normal for a Brahma-Rhode Island cross to have five toes on one foot? And I helped it out of its shell and it looks like that was a bad idea because it looks like its hiney prolapsed

Should I do anything for it? They just hatched like a couple hours ago. And what temperature should I keep the incubator at? I was going to keep them in the incubator until tomorrow morning after I've gone to get chick starter (medicated) I've still got two eggs that are unhatched.

I have no idea about the five toe thing, but can you post a pic of the chick's bottom? If it is a prolapse, you can try to treat it, but it may be easier/better to cull it.
The temp should be the same as it has been throughout the incubation. The chicks can stay in there overnight and be just fine. I have had chicks/ducklings stay in for 24 hours after hatching with no problem.

The chick is doing fine now. I think what I thought was a prolapse was actually the 'umbilical cord' for lack of a better word. He's up and about now. How long does it normally take from hatch for the chick to be up and walking around?

Oh, good. I have had a few chicks hatch with kinda freaky looking "belly buttons". I understand. I though I was gonna lose one of my chicks because he had suck a large hole left there, but he was fine.

Can you post some photos i have 3 D brahma girls and 1 rir roo i will have to find a home for if he starts crowing but first i am thinking brahma eggs so big what would the cross look like and what are the plusses and minuses ?

Broadies ?
