So my wife finally did it. She convinced me to get some chickens. At first, the brooding of the chicks seemed a little daunting, but now they are part of our tribe. we just love them! I have recently adopted a vegetarian lifestyle and together with my wife we have really started pushing to be as self-sustaining as possible. After viewing a documentary focusing on the treatment of egg-laying hens we decided we would not support that industry any longer.
We are now deeply involved in the coop planning and developing our chickies. I love the forumn and I love the advice we have already received from here.
