Brand new coop going up!

Siding went on yesterday and vent soffits were put in under the over-hangs. Hopefully the plywood will go up on the roof by Friday, then the tar paper and shingles the following day or so. Anyone know a 12 foot man who does roofing?!!!

Bravo! That is a nice coop ya got there! We are planning ours for later this summer....have one...need 3! I will be happy with 2. We are cutting our own lumber..and a friend is milling it for us for free. So cost will be minimal....just very labor intensive. I cant waite to get those trees down...they have to dry for 3 or 4 months before we can mill them. I will try to get pics along the way!

I'll sit DH down and pick his brain for the cost breakdown and post it within a day or two. If it has to do with vehicles, welding or woodworking he remembers every dollar!

We got some of the base roofing up today and will finish tomorrow with the tar paper and then shingles. The lever door handle is on and the stained glass window will also go in tomorrow. Hopefully the interior will be finished by Tuesday!

I don't know what happened to the first 2 pics, but here's one that covers both of them...it's just the start of my new coop.

We're behind schedule...too many things going on today, so we didn't get as much done as we'd hoped. But here's a progress pic report. Hopefully we'll make bigger strides tomorrow. Tar paper and the insides tomorrow. The shingles can wait.
