Want to start out and say that what a great site! lots of great information here. Hope the community is just as awesome!(im sure it is)

Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Im very new to raising chickens but so far my wife and myself are doing what looks to be an amazing job! It all started with me at work one day(in august) and eating hardboiled eggs infront of someone and they asked why do you always eat so many eggs?!?! I replied with its for bodybuilding building. Long story short they suggested I get my own since they are so much healthier for you. so I looked into it and on the first week of october we got our first chicks(20)

What breeds do you have?
3 sapphire gems, 3 rhode island reds, 2 ISA Browns, 2 CALICO PRINCESS, 1 americana, 1 black sex link, 1 welsummer, 1 easter egger, 1 cream legbar, 1 buff orpington, 1 black copper maran, 1 barred rock, and 2 black australorps(1 hen & 1 rooster)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
