I went into town today looking for a wooden breadbox!!...Went to a thrift store that didn't have any but the clerk said there is a thrift shop closer to town that had lots of them the last time I was in there!!.....

before I found one I think will work perfectly...my hinge is at the bottom and not the top is the only difference to yours MissPrissy...You should have seen the lady behind the counter asking why all you over looking all the others that are nicer?...lol...I said and I quote "it's to make a incubator out of for hatching chicks"...That set her off to Oh my gosh!...You have chickens?..What kinds?...Do you sell chicks?...lol..Give me your name and # and I'm calling you next Spring!!...LOL

So Now will sit down and gather all the equipment for my BBB.....

..Thanks for showing us this ...It's been like opening and looking for Christmas all day!...

thank you! this is actually the incubator i had been looking for.
so the thermostat has a thermometer on it that makes it turn the light on and off?
also where did the wires come from that go to the light and thermostat?

I bought a lamp kit that has the plug and wires. I then wired one side of the bulb to the plug, wired the blub to the thermostat. Them wired the thermostat to the other plug wire.

I'll try to draw a diagram and see if it helps you. It may take me a bit to post it but I will this evening.

ok. so the wire that came with the kit that had the plug on it you cut it off and re wired it?
lol i know im being so aggravatin, but im so confused! lol i jus have to get the thermostat and the water thingy

The only part that I can help answer is the water wiggler thing...it just sits in there on the bottom til you put the probe from the digital thermometer in it and then the thermometer will show you what the actually temp is that the eggs should be kept at...

Did I help?

ok!! finally! i understand it! lol i took my lamp kit out and looked at the wires and stuff and i understand it now! lol i jus have to get that darn thermostat.
i want to go back to lowes now! but ill have to wait until tomorrow

your probe is going to be attached to your digital thermometer..this is how you will know what the egg temps are...some or most put the probe in a water wiggle toy its much like what the temp will be inside the egg......you will need the digital thermometer anyway for the inside of the bator to show you how your temps are doing...
