In my experience Ameraucanas color up slowly. My boys were still really pink when they were crowing and had saddles and what not. Also the comb is coming in really wide - indicating cockerel.How so? I’m not saying it’s a definite cockerel. But I am definitely leaning that way. Look at the way the pea comb is coming in - the way the rows are popping up is indicating male.I’ve also had Ameraucanas and the pullets always seemed to redden up faster. The comb isn’t "wide".
