Hi Deja,
I may have some advice to offer for your staggered hatch concern. I read something here on BYC (can't find it again!) that a lady did for hers. I modified it some and it's working great for me, even as we speak! lol I have a tall incubator (single door store Coke cooler), too so you should be able to do this. Get a plastic container with 4 or 5 inch sides that will hold all the eggs that are at hatching stage. Line it with a couple of layers of paper towels and moisten them very well, but not puddles. I haven't changed the humidity in the rest of the incubator, and the humidity in the container goes up to 67 - 69%. Every time I turn the other eggs, I usually add a couple - a few tablespoons of water if the paper towels aren't very moist all over. It has given me, so far at least 8 excellent staggered hatches. No sticky babies, just nice clean hatches. As I mentioned, I moved 7 eggs into the 'hatcher' and it sits on the shelf where the others are. They're due next weekend, and I'm about to put 6 more eggs in to start. Then I have to stop!!! Oh my gosh, when it starts working good, it's sooooo HARD to stop!!!!
Hope this helps! Happy 4th of July to everyone!!
