Hi All!
I have had enough broody hens in summer to have a pretty good program to break them, but now I’m thrown off because I have a lady that decided to be broody now! We have about 6 inches of snow, and temps in the 30s during the day and 20s at night with much colder temps on the way. Any tips or suggestions on how to break a broody in the winter?
I have a very large enclosed run and a shelter inside it. I have 2 rabbit cages set up in the shelter for broody breaking in the summer when needed. I have a small feed room area that I can set up a smaller cage to break her, but do I leave her in the feed room for 3 straight days like I would do in summer? Or do I move her in and out daily from shelter to feed room? It sounds like a pain either way....
thanks everyone!
