Received the results of the further testing on the 2 hens I recently had necropsied - negative for MG, MS, IB & AI!
For a relatively new chicken owner like myself, I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have access to a state-run animal health lab that performed the initial necropsies at no cost and would encourage anyone who has access to such facilities (even if it comes with a small fee) to utilize these services. I can, for now, set aside my biggest fear that something more sinister was taking place within my flock.
