one of my 32 cornish cross chickens who is 4-5 weeks old is breathing with it's mouth open only. It's making noises as it breaths. It acts like it cannot get a full breath. Every once in a while it sneezes a couple of times. It's very tired since it cannot sleep since it cannot breath very well. It's on pine shavings. He's still eating and drinking and is getting electrolytes in water. All other chickens are acting fine. Thanks for any input

That's not usually a good sign in a chick. Sometimes, breathing with the mouth open can just mean that they are hot. Is the weather warm where you are?

With the sneezing, though, it might be a respiratory infection. I would isolate the chick from the rest (though they may already be exposed) and provide it with vitamins in the water.
