Looking for some opinions on general personalities of breeds. I currently own buff, very gentle nice birds, pilgrim, vaguely aggressive towards other species, and slightly more bold in my limited experiences. The pilgrims include a gander, so maybe that increases the boldness?

I'm thinking about trying some knob breeds. The African maybe, the Chinese I'm not so sure about. I definitely don't need more aggressive birds toward anything. I'm reading both African and Chinese are louder, and more reactive. Hoping someone can talk me into or out of adding some. Thanks. :)

I've had Chinese geese.
They are loud, and the males can be aggressive, but they can also be very sweet sometimes.

I had two African geese and they were both very sweet. They would only show a tiny bit of aggression when around someone they weren’t used to. All they would do though is stick their necks out and yell. One would try to bite sometimes if they weren’t comfortable with someone but not in a super aggressive way. You could easily avoid being bit if you were careful. They got along will with my ducks and would only nip at them a little when eating out of the same bowl. One would never bite and he liked to be held. They were both quite loud though lol

The Americans do come in other colors. I have Blues as well. And I've been trying to track down some Lavender Ice.
I bet those are so pretty. I think I will be filled up after these goslings arrive. I will officially have a gaggle of geese at 15 in total. That's about all my pasture will support without crowding. We have about an acre for the goats and geese, but could always enlarge the area if necessary, but prefer not to.
