That is not red. As in red, we are talking about a RICH mahagony. It will also look splotchy on a male.

Just trying to figure out a solution of what gender it is based on color, if it's a Pullet what color would it be? Not that it matters, it's a cute bird.

What? Sorry, I am confused. She isn't autosexing so....she can be any color she likes. You can't tell gender based on color for EVERY bird. #2 is a mutt, mutts don't have guidelines. She IS a pullet, so she is whatever color she is.

Back again with my next lot these ten babies are just over 6 weeks old, we got them as eggs from a backyardie....was told they had Araucanas, sussex, isa brown and black hens!

Some of them do have the puffy ear spots and or the afro on top of the head I would appreciate opinions on their breeds and genders please i am fairly confident in my assumption that chick number 4 & 5 are cockerels

3. Araucana mix, pullet?
4. Sussex x araucana mix cockerel
5. Sussex mix cockerel
6. Araucana mix pullet
7. Sussex mix pullet
8. Light sussex pullet

Most are mutts. 4,5 and *maybe* 10 are males. Rest are DEFINITE pullets
