We are new to the raising chicken game and we were sold this easter egger hen. She should be about 12 weeks now. She hasn't grown in ear tufts and her comb is really large and really red. I am beginning to suspect this might not be an easter egger and worry it might be a rooster. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think you have an Andalusian. She looks like a pullet and her comb is large because Andalusians are a Mediterranean breed.

What luck, getting a Blue Andalusian!! And, yes, they are quite flighty!! Mine is forever trying to fly SOMEWHERE! She's beautiful.
Well, it could be an andalusian, but how big is it? It could be a blur old english game hen.
