At first glance, the lavender youngster looks "pullet," but those super-slender, droopy saddle feathers could be worrisome. I hope you haven't found your crower!8 weeks old on Monday. I think lavender Orpington but I’m new at this. I noticed the tail feathers seems different shaped than the others but I’m not really sure so trying to guess if pullet or cockerel. Supposed to all be pullets
Right. Someone said the shredded feathers are a lavender trait, so my fingers are crossed. one of my splashes likes to bite me but she doesn’t really look like a cockerel either.
