Breed and sex?

I got these two girls from a local feed store and they were sold to me as a Sussex and Maran buuut after some research I'm thinking barred rock and welsummer? Also they're about 6 weeks (I think). The girl at the feed store doesn't seem so knowledgeable now that I've done some research on BYC Opinions on breed, sex and age? I'm kinda new to this.

Your first looks like a Cuckoo Marans! I'm not sure on the second, could be a Welsummer or a Brown Leghorn. I'm not sure how to tell the difference until you can tell ear color though. Welsummer=Red Ear, Brown Leghorn=White Ear. They both look like pullets to me!
