Hi Chicken enthusiasts

12-14 week olds, 1st time with this breed, confirming these 2 look like pullets?

1 is pretty docile, the other so cranky - which is making me question her sex. I have heard this breed is slow maturing. 2 of the hatch are real obvious boys, the rest look like these 2, surely I can't be that lucky to end up with mostly girls!

I'm guessing pullets, but breeds with the black combs and wattles (Silkies, Ayam Cemani, etc.) can be tricky to sex, so wait for others to chime in.

What breed are they? By that age you would have male-specific feathering (which I know is hard with lavender and shredding) but I would also expect more obvious comb action by that age if you had a cockerel.

They are lavender sussex.
That's what I was thinking re at this age they should have more obvious cockeral signs, but compared to my other breeds I have (belgian d'uccle and wyandotte) I'm finding the sussex definitely slower to sex and be confident about it.
