Breed... Asians?

Also purchased Asian Blue and Asian chicks from TSC can't seem to find any information on them. New to raising chicken doing it for my grand children would like to know what they look like when they mature and are they a good breed, any help would be thankful.

They did the same thing at my TSC. Actually I believe them to be Blue Andalusians because when I talked to the staff, box was marked with BAND so that makes sense. Looking at your chicks they look like them too.

I have no idea.. but I have three of them now. lol And I'm not so sure they are Blue Andalusians. These are BLACK! And I thought Andalusians laid white eggs?

Just to throw a monkey wrench in the thread.....
The feed store near me had an assortment labeled at Marans. All black with no leg feathering. Could this be a possibility here too?

The chicks that obviously lost has came from a tank shared with "dixie rainbows" The asian was advertised as a good laying, dual purpose bird. I had never heard of them either and did a little research. Here are a couple links for some info on the birds in question. http://www.efowl.com/mobile/product...owl.com:80/Asia_Blue_Chickens_p/706-1004.htm=

I read somewhere that hoover hatchery does some supplying for TSC and they also produce the dixie rainbows. Thos could be the answer.

So there really is an Asian Blue Chicken Breed? And here I thought TSC was mislabeling, wouldn't be the first time

All I've discovered is that they are a very new hybrid. So new that there is not a lot of info about them. Supposedly dual purpose birds but the weights seem a little low for that.
