Breed/gender please?

Hi all.

Can anyone help with the breed and gender of this lovely 5-week old? Hatched from a blue egg sold on eBay as araucana, but can't be completely sure. Legs now pale green, what looks like a black crest, lavender underneath darker/flecked on back, dark tail, beginnings of a comb but not huge. I know these aren't the world's best photos, but any thoughts would be greatly received.

She looks like and Easter Egger (another name for a mutt chicken) that should hopefully lay you blue or green eggs. Shes looks like a pullet.

Easter Eggers are my fav. I have 8.

The bird is NOT and Easter Egger. The OP is in England and their Aracauna's look nothing like ours. It looks like an Araucana pullet to me.

x3. This is always a source of confusion when we look at birds from other parts of the world.

I saw the England location and thought "I have no idea if that's a purebred bird for them". I know by color it's a female, that's about it, sorry.

I didn't even notice your location when I responded with EE. They are probably correct that it is and araucana. Still looks girl though.

Ah, thanks all - I didn't even think to mention location.

A note on behaviour - yesterday chick and all 6 grown-ups were relaxing in the early evening sun when suddenly chick started cheeping wildly, flew right up into the air and back down again, have every single hen except mum a peck on the head then ran away again. A friend told me this is cockerel behaviour - are they right? I'm still confused!
