Got these as a week old from a local breeder. They were supposed to be Barred rocks but obviously aren't. She then told me they were possibly olive eggers. They're 16-17 weeks old now so I'm hoping they will lay soon and we will know. 3 of them look like the first few pictures (just not as red or big combs yet) and I have 1 that looks like an ee. Thoughts?

They're all pullets, and all probably what your breeder said.
Oh yeah, I know they're all pullets. Breeder honestly wasn't all that great. She insisted they were barred rocks then told me they were marans. Found out she bought her eggs from someone else who told me they may be olive eggers. Breeder then said possi ly but she didn't buy olive egger eggs. These girls were infected with MG also when I got them and breeder failed to mention that until I asked when my entire flock got sick. eggs. Said all chickens have MG so it's not a big deal

Oh.... well, I missed the barred rock part. I'd guess they are olive eggers.

olive egger just means they will lay an olive-coloured (brown+blue) egg. they don't look like anything specific. so it is impossible to identify an olive egger by visual, unless you are looking at an egg it just laid :p

Well if we recieve an olive egg within the next few weeks I'll know it's them. Guess it's just a wait and see.

Well just got the first egg from one of these. Not olive. Still have no clue what they are 😂
