Breed help

He is cute. So he is smaller than your average chicken? Then I would say he is an Old English Game Bantam (OEGB). I am not as familiar with all the color varieties of that breed, but that is definitely the rooster's body type. The breed is a good flier and is smarter than your average chicken, too.

Looks like an Old English Game mix to me (not pure, as he doesn't fit any recognized color pattern). He's a handsome little boy!

Old English Game Bantams are not more human aggressive than the typical rooster. Game roosters may be more prone to fight with other roosters. Although if there is an established alpha rooster in the flock who is considerably larger, then the a bantam sized rooster would be less likely to challenge him. A large alpha rooster may be less threatened by a small rooster and decide that it is not worth chasing a flying rooster around. If you have another rooster maybe you can put up extra perches for the little guy to get out of the way of the big rooster.

There are no guarantees when there is more than one rooster, but it may not be as bad as you may fear.
