This is a female, I think a new hampshire red? Not sure. The farmer said she was a rhode island, but photos of RIRs don't look like her to me.

The black hen may be a Black Old English game (or a cross), and the red may be a New Hampshire or production red. Enjoy your birds.

Yes, I agree with what the others said. First one is definitely and OEGB. They have great personalities! One of my favorite birds.

The first definitely looks like an OEGB. -have a pair and love them! -greatest little birds. Beware of her ability to fly, however. We looked up one afternoon to see our OEGB pullet perched on top of our covered porch. -daughter thought it was a crow.....
