Breed ID Help

I got this chick from a breeder at about 2 wks old. She said it was hatched from some eggs she got but it wasn't the breed she expected. She didn't know what it was & didn't say what breed she expected.
It is about 12 wks old now - I'm thinking female but not sure. Looked like a Welsummer as a chick, before I noticed the rose comb.
Anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find any breeds with this coloring and a rose comb.

sure its a rose and not a pea comb? I can't tell from this angle.

She resembles a Buckeye from what little I can see, but a rose comb wouldn't be consistent with the breed, which is pea-combed.

That's exactly where I was going with that line of questioning. The colors are a nice mahogany, like my Buckeye.

Well, it looks more like a rose comb to me, but it doesn't jump in my lap anymore so I can't get a real good closeup. Here is another pic of her. The 2nd pic is of an 8 wk old buckeye I got from Meyer. They do look a little bit alike, though the younger one isn't near as dark.

And actually, your buckeye doesn't look like a buckeye to me.

I think Buckeye too. Yours has a richer color then the sample bird, but the sample may have better as it grows.
