Hey everyone,

i was sold 5 chicks back in June and told they were easter egger chicks. From what i could gather, easter egger chicks can be three or four different breeds or even a mix?
My Hens are all black with tints of blue/green in them and this is what my roosters look like. I believe them to be ameraucana chickens but would love for someone to confirm that. Thanks!

It doesn't really matter anymore. They are basically a breed.
False. EEs can be a mix of anything they just need a chance to lay a colored egg, meaning they have Ameraucana, Araucana, or Legbar background. They are still mutts.

EEs are like the beef boosters in the cow world. Selectively crossbred to express certain traits as desired, but don’t breed true. :)

That being said, I agree they are not ameracaunas. You have 3 different comb types in those 3 boys, and very different body shapes/conformation. The only thing they have in common is colouring. And the one fella in the middle has feathered legs?
