Breed ID

That is true, that is unsettling and it wasn't exactly nice to do.
But you do have a habit of jumping the gun and giving advice that might not be true or helpful, even I've noticed it.
There's no harm in making mistakes or having them brought to your attention, unless you don't learn from them.
We all make mistakes and we need to accept them and do better but first, we need to be aware of them. That's the hard part because we're used to ourselves, we need others to say 'hey, you're always late and I can't depend on you when you're late.' It might bruise the Ol' Ego, but it's necessary to mature and improve yourself.
Sometimes we all have to eat crow.
We can all do better with a little humility.

Don't pout at me. Be open to learning.
I'm just going to mute this thread because I don't want anyone else making me feel stupid. I know that you learn things till the day you die. I now learn that not everyone is perfect on here.

No, certainly not. Easter Eggers are not a breed. Nor will they ever be a breed. They are an amalgamation of APA recognized breeds that usually inherit a colored egg gene from one or both parents.

Definitely, not.

The roosters in the photo are straight up mixes. I would imagine there is some Marans in there. But I can also see Brahma and potentially a muffed/bearded Easter Egger. What color eggs are the hens laying? Judging by the males I'd say brown.

Holy crap I just learned that myself recently visiting a kid's property and pointed to a flock he had pasturing a bit and I asked him "what are those"? and he said ,"those are Easter Eggers".. I said"yeah but what breed?" he said "all kinds" I said" what do you mean,.. he's like "they lay a certain color egg but they can look like anything"
You learn something new everyday; my wife picked out one that lays light blue eggs.

My background is breeding dogs and parrots and when I decided to join this forum it was because I wanted to start a breeding program and I knew from the get-go it was going to be like boot camp... you going to get wet, going to get dirty, you'll feel out in the cold but sooner or later someone will come around pick you up and show you where the line's at.

Exactly, you're going to unlearn, then relearn everything you though you knew.
What kind of parrots did you raise? My grandmother bred macaws for a few years when I was young.

Hey everyone,

i was sold 5 chicks back in June and told they were easter egger chicks. From what i could gather, easter egger chicks can be three or four different breeds or even a mix?
My Hens are all black with tints of blue/green in them and this is what my roosters look like. I believe them to be ameraucana chickens but would love for someone to confirm that. Thanks!
Do you have closer individual pictures? From what I can see, you have a marans mix and a brahma bantam mix.
