Breed identification help requested

lol you're confusing me! In your original 5 pictures, the bird in the 3rd picture is a Buttercup. The gold one in the pan in the 5th pic is a Campine. The bird in your new pic is probably a Buttercup with the wrong leg color but I am not sure. It is too light to be a Campine. The distinguishing feature of Buttercups are the combs. As said above, your birds may be too young to tell if they have the right comb or not. I'm attaching pictures of Buttercup combs so maybe you can see if your birds have them.View attachment 1152251 View attachment 1152252 View attachment 1152252
Lol -I’m sorry, was afraid of that. They get to free range for a couple hours before sunset. I’ll get the wife (aka: the Boss) to help me get a good pic of each of the 3 still in question. You guys have confirmed what I thought about the Welsummer & Buckeye - thanks much for that. I’ll post improved single pics of the 3 I’m wondering about later today. Thanks again so much for your help, I now understand why I could not find the Golden Comet in this group of 14! Now I just want to know who/what the “imposter” is...

I forgot to answer - they’re too young for the split combs yet, so...no help there yet

Ok here are the 3 contestants. One is a Buttercup, one is a Gold Campine and one is a...??? (Not a Golden Comet for sure)

I think you have either two Golden Campines and a Sicilian Buttercup or all three are Golden Campines. I've been looking at pictures of both breeds and Golden Campines seem to have more black specks and closer together while Sicilian Buttercups seem more sparse. This may just be me noticing something not really there. I think you may have to wait and see how the combs develop.

I think you’re right. It’s very odd - had a White Rock & Leghorn - can easily tell them apart already. Same for Barred Rock & Dominique - can easily tell them apart. But I’ve really been struggling with these 3 ladies, especially when supposedly one of them is a Golden Comet!
