#1 is a cockerel according to his stripes.

#2, I can't see 5 toes.. but with the straight comb and dark feathered shanks and also possibly beaded.. I voted Silkie/BR... Thinking the BR is the hen and this may be a sex linked pullet??

When putting your crosses... usual practice is cock cross dame.. But I have to presume your Silkie is the boy and your not keeping roos in all those other breed possibilities but those are the ladies... What color is your boys?

I enjoy the challenge! :pop

Guessing about chick #1 would be much easier with clearer comb pictures, but it must be "other."

You say it does not have a Barred Rock parent, or a Dominique parent, so it can't be choices 2, 3, and 4 in your poll.

Chick #1 does NOT have a silkie parent. Silkies are supposed to have crest, dark skin, feathered feet, and 5th toe, and I don't see any of those on that chick. So it's not choice 1 or 3 in your poll.

It might have a wyandotte parent--I think I'm seeing a rose comb but can't be sure.

Chick #2 would be easier to guess if we had a list of all possible parents. If it had a Barred Rock mother, the father could easily have been a Cochin, a Langshan, or even a Mille Fleur D'Uccle. If it had a Buff Orpington mother, the father could still have been a Cochin or a Langshan. (I don't think the dominant white silkie is the father, but that's not impossible either.)

Edit: I looked again, and chick #1 DOES have an extra toe. I still don't think it's got a silkie parent, with those really light legs and beak. Maybe a Dorking cross?
