I purchased 6 chicks from one if our local farm stores. they were marked ameraucana straight run. they r 4wks old. wondering if they were marked right knowing now some ee r sold as ameraucana. from what I've looked and found thinking they may be silver ameraucana. I also think 3 may be roos cause of their mannerisms.

have two that as soon as I open the door they want on my lap so didn't get them in the pic. well the one that wasn't on my lap yet u can see that ones bottom in the left corner lol

The 4 in the picture are all EEs. The more white ones are more than likely cockerels. Some pullets are just as bossy as the boys so put more weight into color development than mannerism.

Ty guess I'll know for next time if I'm looking for ameraucana to find someone with a good rep. these when lil had the big puffs on the face like I was told to look for but when they started feathering the fluff by the ear area was gone oh well I'll still get colorful eggs. I have 3 day old chicks too that will prob be a surprise. son got them out of a brooder marked rainbow pullets.

However, I agree that most-if-not-all Ameraucanas bought at a farm store are Easter Eggers, including the OPs chicks.

OP, try the Ameraucana club (link above) to find true Ameracuanas.

yah mine looked like the silver chicks in the pic for that link but thought ppl here would know better if they really were.

this is a pic I took to show my friend the size diff in the new ones my son brought home. he liked them cause they were black and white with black feet. two had white tipped wings the other's wings were all black. those 3 will be my surprise.
