My husband and I are just starting out with chickens, and we want them mainly for egg laying. What hardy breeds do you recommend that would also be docile with our 3 kids? Thanks!

I would say a plymouth rock on that one, the ones I have will run up to you and let you hold them, they seem to tolerate being handled well and they also dont mind my pekingese puppy coming up to them trying to figure out what they are
