Breed Selection Tool... seriously?

I used that 'tool' and am super annoyed to discover that NONE of my chickens are the 'right' kind for me! I should have RIR, RIW, naked necks, Auracaunas (the real ones) or Wyandottes. Yeesh. how well does the tool match what you have?


Edited to add: Not that I think the tool is bad, useless or anything other than WONDERFUL.. just that somehow, I apparently don't have the right kind of chickens... If only I'd used it BEFORE I ordered this next batch!

LOL, i did alot of research before ordering my birds so i knew alot about them, so i just filled out the tools so i would get the breeds that i got! haha

I did research too before getting mine and couldn't be happier. The results I got were along the lines of the breed I have,and included the breed I have, but it did help me decide on what white egg layer to add to my existing flock. I think it works GREAT. It would have saved me a whole lot of searching for the initial breed had it been available at the time I got my first ones! I like it

Do you uncheck the box for what you don't want? Thats what I did, and it matched me with a leghorn?

I unchecked aggresive, and flighty, and thats what I got... I gotta be doing something wrong...

All the tool does is shows you what you should have for your taste and region it doesn't however say this is what you should have or buy these it simply points new people in the right direction.

Uncheck the boxes for ALL the things you do not want in your flock. The more boxes unchecked the less breeds will show and it will match you up perfectly with compatible breeds.​

Where is the Tool", I want to see what it says for me. What kind of breeds did you end up with?​

Look at the top of the page.. It'll have 3 red dots on both sides... I ended up with Leghorns! I don't see how! I uncheck, aggresive, flighty, etc.. and got frickin' leghorns!

Well mine came back blank, so I guess that means I'm not supposed to have chickens at all. Thank the Lord they don't have a kid selelction tool, God only knows what that would come back showing.
