So I got a couple of eggs to hatch last year in the summer, and out of the dozen I bought 4 were fertile and these 2 came out. From all the pictures I've seen online, they look like SLW - Silver Laced Wyandotte. Since there is so many of you guys, I figured I would ask and see if my guess on these two are right. The first rooster seems to have the comb of a SLW, but the second is more flat. They are both under a year, so still growing ^^

First 3 pictures are of the same rooster, and last 3 are of the second rooster.

They both look like my SLW. Especially the last one, the comb matches mine perfectly. I get mine from hatcheries, so they never look quite like the bright colored google images.

See, not sure if they got their birds from a hatchery or a breeder. I think what's throwing me off, is the difference in combs on both roosters. They look identical, aside from the comb and someone in my area is looking to buy some SLW roosters and I don't want to sell them something that isn't misleading to the breed ^^'

I suppose hatchery quality or mixed breed? I wouldn't sell them for breeding purposes. We don't really have to worry about hatcheries for heritage breeds here, so even with bad breeders, they usually don't end up that far off standard.

I got mine accidentally, so it's a total possibility mine was a mixed. I ordered blue giant cochins and ended up with 2 partridges cochins and 2 wyandotte - not even close to my original order 😂. Welp Hatchery is where I think I ordered... SUPER nice people, I'd order again, but with lower expectations haha.
