Breed suggestion?

I got 8 geese earlier this year at a farmers market, they were hatched out Easter weekend so they are around 2 and a half months old. The guy said they were mixed and at the time I should have asked what mix they were. I assumed the brown were toulouse and the white were chinese but now I realize that is probably not the case. I am just curious what kind they might be.

Hard to say without more pictures, but most if not all are crosses. If I had to guess, they are embden or roman (white color) mixed with brown african or chinese, resulting in the white with dark spots and brown/white splashes.

They do have a neck stripe like the African but no knobs (no clue when those show up). Half of them have black beaks and half have orange ones. I remember we had geese growing up, multiple different breeds and the African ones were always in the front of the group and nothing messed with them.

Agreed. If I had to guess I'd say Brown Chinese x Embden cross.
