Can anyone tell me what breed this beauty is? This is my first flock, not sure about her/him.

It's not a mix. Young birds have white on the chest like that, but it goes away as they get older.

Thank you @Crazy for Chickens! I didn't know if that was maybe the case but I've never had one myself.

I agree, speckled Sussex. Looks exactly like my SS chick.

Speckled Sussex, probably a cockerel.
They are beautiful birds! The hens are great, and the cockerels vary in temperament. If it is a boy, read up on raising cockerels; beekissed has a good article about it.

Eh, there can sometimes be a gender correlation to significant white on the chest at this stage....but the bird is not screaming cockerel
