She literally just started getting those feathers in her legs the beginning of this week. I had to catch her and check her out cuz I had no idea what was going on with her.

That one looks like an Asian Black to me. Your Blue Copper Marans is beautiful! Marans are next on my list!

Personalities can change, as you've found out!

I think French Marans basically means they're bred to the French standard rather than American, which means most have feathered legs.

Asian Blacks are clean-legged.

I can't find a whole lot of information about Asian Blacks, but what I have found says they have Langshan in them. The coloring is a dead ringer for one!

You're right about the coloration, there's no doubt about that.

Only thing that stops me is the lack of feathered legs, and slimmer body type.
