Breed?

SLW have a rose comb. He looks alot like a birchen (black silver) Marans. But, definitely appears to be a birchen variety of whatever breed.

i was going to bring up his leg color after seeing ajplmama pictures. he could be a mutt, every yr one of the schools hatch eggs for class and i was able to get 10 of them. the farmer that gave the eggs only wanted certain ones back and those were RIR. but apparently the teacher that i got them from does not know where they came from. his size does scare me and one of his feet his nails are white and they seem to be very long or maybe just more noticeable being white. i did try and find him on the internet but didn't have any luck and that could be because he is a mutt. he does look like he can be a show chicken, when he stand with one leg out and he is so proud... boy he does sound good maybe i am talking myself into keeping him.
