My son's teacher says they are Branam Silkies. They do have feathers on their legs but no blue or black skin/feet and only one has 5 toes. I'm so confused!!

There most likely a Silkie Cross.
That would account for the extra toe, light skin color, non-silkie type feathering etc.

Feathered legs AND five toes? Makes me think they're a real mix of breeds- coloration looks like easter egger or welsummer. You may just have to wait until they grow up!

That's what I was thinking after researching silkies. I just want to know what they're crossed with. I may never know...
