Breeders in or near Los Angeles?

Specifically, I live in Sun Valley, CA in the LA area. I'm looking for Lavender Orpingtons and Blue Copper Marans or similar birds (I just really love the pale "purple"-grey colorations) and it's been hard to find them locally.

Are you a member of the Sun Valley Poultry Club on Facebook? Most of their posts are updates on the Virulent Newcastle Outbreak in Southern California. They're really good about posting the most updated information from APHIS and people in and near quarantine areas.

I would not be looking to acquire stock from the region. The outbreak is still spreading within Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties and the quarantine areas are changing regularly. If you're hoping to get CA birds maybe consider a Northern CA breeder like Papa's Poultry? They have Lavender Orpingtons and BBS Marans and they ship.

I saw on Craigslist someone has Lavender Orpingtons

If you fall within or near the purple border on this map, please reconsider buying or selling birds at this time. Anyone within this border who is posting birds for sale on Craigslist is technically moving them and can and should be reported to APHIS for violating quarantine guidelines.
