At what age can pullets be put with a rooster? I have 14 week old pullets and cockerels and one roo is breeding already. Is this ok for the pullets?
Bantam cochins

Nope.
Separate the sexes. Wait until your pullet is at least a year old
before you start mating her.
Best,

Wow you will get a lot of different answers on this one ...

This pullet started producing egg's at 14 weeks and went broody
at 20 weeks then after 23 weeks here she is ...

At 25 weeks she has stolen other chicks and has 30 chicks ....

Chickens are like people and you just have to call that one on your own but if you allow her to bread make sure there is onle one rooster or you will have problems and the rooster should not be much larger then she is or she will be hurt .....

My pullets are raised with the flock, so they get mated as they reach sexual maturity. My roosters aren't interested until they come close to point of lay, as a rule. If I had a rooster mating very immature pullets, with small, flesh colored combs, I'd pull him out (well, I'd cull him, but I've never had a rooster do that).
