Thanks for the replies. That’s all good information I didn’t know. I’ve found it hard to get much info for my specific future crosses. My EE is golden color. She hasn’t started laying yet though.

Do you have a picture of her? Thanks for the replies. That’s all good information I didn’t know. I’ve found it hard to get much info for my specific future crosses. My EE is golden color. She hasn’t started laying yet though.
A WL cross with Speckled Sussex will not be mostly red, they will hatch white at hatch and will only show some form of gold/yellow leakage when adults. Not entirely true. The speckled sussex crosses will be mostly red, similar to a red sex link.
She would also produce red and white offspring.Every pic I took showed her more red than gold but anyway this is her

When mated to a White Leghorn? Please elaborate more on this. She would also produce red and white offspring.
Yes. I can't tell exactly what they would look like since she's an EE and is a mixed color. When mated to a White Leghorn? Please elaborate more on this.
I can confirm. I bred a white silkie roo to some EEs, and only one chick came out white. The rest were partridge or blackNot entirely true. The speckled sussex crosses will be mostly red, similar to a red sex link. Depending on what your EE looks like, you could get some nice muffed crosses that are relatively colorful.
There is Absolutely no way that a cross between a White Leghorn rooster and a gold based EE will produce red offspring, White Leghorns are Silver based when you cross a Silver based rooster with a gold based hen, the F1 pullets will be Silver and the Cockerels will be Heterozygous Silver too(S/s+) and only showing some degree of Lemon/Orange as they get olderYes. I can't tell exactly what they would look like since she's an EE and is a mixed color.
Whte Silkies are based on recessive white and partridge(but white sports based on paint are dominant white with extended black). White Leghorns are E/E(or ER/ER), Silver and Dominant white.I can confirm. I bred a white silkie roo to some EEs, and only one chick came out white. The rest were partridge or black
As @nicalandia said, white silkies are different than white leghorns.I can confirm. I bred a white silkie roo to some EEs, and only one chick came out white. The rest were partridge or black
I forgot about silver. However, I've seen a lot of leghorn crosses that are red, so I'm assuming that some are based on gold. There is Absolutely no way that a cross between a White Leghorn rooster and a gold based EE will produce red offspring, White Leghorns are Silver based when you cross a Silver based rooster with a gold based hen, the F1 pullets will be Silver and the Cockerels will be Heterozygous Silver too(S/s+) and only showing some degree of Lemon/Orange as they get older
