That chick is so cute! I keep hoping mine will develop crests but so far it looks like my rooster's traits are really strong. :)

Thanks! I thought none of mine had any but she lost her baby feathers & out sprout a very large crest! It seems to get taller every day! So don't give up quite yet on the thought! :D

That's so awesome I bet you are a wonderful mother too!

Im a sibling to 4 other kids!
I have three sibs but they are all way older than me...lol I was the baby and the next up is my brother who is almost exactly 10 years older than me then my sisters at 14 &16 years older than me...lol I am closer in age to some of my nieces and nephews than my own sibs...lol I got the best of both worlds though. Baby of the family plus only child...lol

Where do you fall in the birth order?

Wow that must have been kind of lonely? I am second to youngest 3 years older then the youngest & then my brother is 5 years older then me & my other brother like 3 years older then him & my oldest sister one year older then him :)

That's quite the age range...lol Ya, it got lonely. Luckily I had a wonderful dog who was my best friend and a country home to roam around in the creek beds, catching frogs and collecting tad poles...lol A good imagination always helped too. Plus my mom was the best.

Dad has always been pretty good too.

I have my first batch hatching under a broody Orp. All the eggs r sired by a Welsummer cockerel. Moms should be Barred rock, Black Australorp, Buff Brahma or NHR

The dumb wind blew over my broody hut!! The eggs brok an ties inside were wet and fluffed!

Yes it is! You sounded a lot like me! I catch frogs, tadpoles, snakes, lizards or pretty much anything alive I can find & I keep them usually just for a bit then let them go back where I found them! I'm glad you weren't completely alone :) I have 2 sibs at home 2 are adults so yeah but I usually hangout by myself anyways.
