@rebrascora

Ok here is one of my Wyandotte/polish/sizzle mix he didn't get a crest his mom has one though she's on the left her name is Wilda and Heliotrope her son is on the right and in the back is one of my other mixes I don't breed her though she has a crooked beak her name is Oreo

@peep peep peep

Awesome do you breed them!?!?
I love the coloring on the roo to the right.

I don't have any barnyard mixes yet, but I'm hoping to try incubating some next month (I have a Silver Sebright roo and 4 Golden Laced Polish hens). I'm excited to see what they look like if I'm lucky enough to hatch any!

Thanks AmyLynn he's my breeder right now well I have yet to breed him but this Spring I'm definitely going to try right now he's pretty miserable I know it doesn't look like it but he's molting and that's why he's preening himself so vigorously in the photo and so Oreo well actually all my birds

uzisuzuki I can't wait to see that mix I hope it goes as planned and i love your animals names very creative and unique my rooster Heliotrope is named after the October flower because I loved the name and he was born in October

I can't wait to see what my roos look like once fully matured. My three month old (my delayed roo) is starting to sprout more and more of the greenish/blue tail and wing feathers. I really can't wait to see how David, my turken roo and Willie's colors play out in maturity.

I bet they will be gorgeous

Me too! I'm still trying to figure out if the eggs they're laying now are fertilized or not and not really feeling like I'm getting the hang of it, but I figured why not try to incubate 4 next month! It makes me kinda feel like a mad scientist.

They got their names because the rooster just showed up on my grandparents' front porch one weekend in October (a good month for rooster, apparently!). We couldn't find his owner, I'm a gigantic nerd for the Iliad and the Odyssey, he was lost from his home, it all kinda fit! After that, naming the first round of hens was pretty easy (all female characters from The Odyssey) and the my next round of chicks that should be delivered in May will continue the how Greek theme. Because I'm also OCD and I can't break an established theme. :D I'm pretty much a nerd in general and name everything after my favourite fictional characters.
