Breeding Birchen marans

The mother has a silver gene. Since a hen can only have one silver gene OR one gold gene, it’s impossible that she’s passing on gold to her offspring.

So she would definitely be a pure silver birchen maran? She was a purchased chick from greenfire farms, so also not sure how well that site is.

Yes, she should be.
All the pictures chicks look like pullets, what do their sons look like?

He’s my only rooster so I only collect her dark eggs, the other hens I have are leghorns so I’m definitely just hatching the maran eggs. I’ve been hatching her eggs for about 3 months

That does pretty well rule out any other chickens being the parents of the chicks!
