Breeding Black Silkie Roo + Barred Rock Banty Hen - Questions

I'm seeing definite barring on the lighter birds, also. She's quite the looker! Plus, makes her chick easy to sex

I had a black silkie Roo, who fathered 7 chicks last year, only 3 survived, the 4 who passed all had 5 toes. Out of the 3 who survived, the two boys had a Buff Orp Mom, the girl had a New Hampshire Red Mom.

The only silkie feature they got from Dad was black feathered feet, and the girl got the black eyes & blue ears.

This was Dad

This is Hank, the biggest of the 2 Brothers.

This is Lollypop, she had Daddy's poofy head for about 9 months, now it is gone.

This year Hank bread with my little Black Banty, Ramin. 4 out of 6 chicks survived. Out of the 4, we got Puffles.

As you can see, Puffles got the silkie feathers, and what looks to be a walnut comb. And this is the largest chick out of the 4, since the hatch, none of them have the 5th toe. 3 of them have black feathered feet, one has yellow feathered feet. I just hope this one is not a boy.
Now next year should be interesting, I have 5 EE, would like to see what that mix might turn out with a half breed Silkie Daddy & a EE Mommy.
