Breeding Chart.......not complete will add more

1. dark pied and birds split white , will look alike only knowing their background will you know, unless you breed them.

2. yes the males split BS will show some in the wing, I have never been able to see it in females or young birds.

4. Jade was found in the spalding.........and in my eyes once a spalding always a spalding.....so i don't think you can have a jade in indian blue , no more than you can have a jade in the green.

Well said deerman I don't know how they can say just Jade when they're out of Spaldings because I'm with you once a Spalding always a Spalding no matter how high or low %% you go always a Spalding.....

Yes if they can have a indian blue in Jade color......then we can have java in all the other colors ,over time. So the UPA list 10 variety that can't be.IMO...SO NOT THE 225 THEY LIST. or list another few hundred in Java......things that make you say hummm

How do you produce a Taupe? Brad Legg has the most astonishing masterpiece photographed on his website. But really- aren't most of these mutations all geared toward producing an individual bird that blows the mind- sort of like a prize orchid or prize winning llama?

Also, Charcoal females are supposed to be incapable of breeding but a well-known pavoniculturist in New York state managed to produce chicks from a female this year.
Have you heard of this happening with other hens?

If I remember right a Spalding Charcoal Hen has produced fertile eggs and chicks but none of the regular Charcoal hens have layed fertile eggs if any eggs at all.

I know the Taupe wasn't made by breeding the birds together said on the website, well maybe after other things split to them.
But I can't tell his breeder secrets the way I found out was being at the right place at the right time or the wrong time for him.

He did have a charcoal hen lay , can't remember if it was a pied, or white eye.........but know he had a charcoal in another pattern lay or 2 hens ,last time i talk to him.

One question I have... does white X white always = white? I have a male white and a female white, both from cameo black shoulder pied parents. If they were to breed, is there a chance of getting cameo black shoulder pied chicks, or only white?

Also, if one of these whites were bred to a cameo black shoulder, what percentage would be white, and what percentage would be something else?

Thanks, Deerman! Hope you're feeling good today!
